Access Control Management
- Department access managers should keep up-to-date records tracking the location or key holder of all keys issued to the department.
- Access managers should collect signatures from key holders when issuing new keys, and provide key holders a copy of the Key Issuance Agreement policy (pdf) outlining their responsibilities.
- Departments are responsible for retrieving keys or revoking electronic access for terminated employees.
- When keys are no longer needed, they may be returned to LASTS in Carruth 144. If a key is re-issued to a new employee, the department must keep a record of the new key holder.
