Suspending Access
When an employee leaves the university, the employee's department is responsible for retrieving any assigned keys and returning those keys to Locks, Access and Security Technology Services (LASTS) in Carruth 144.
- The employee's department is responsible for notifying LASTS within two working days of an employee's access being suspended.
- Human Resource Management (HRM) also has responsibility for notifying LASTS of suspension or terminations of employees.
- LASTS is responsible for terminating electronic access, receiving returned keys and issuing returned key receipts.
- Public Safety is responsible for retrieving unreturned keys from suspended or terminated employees as requested by HRM.
